My journey into film
I'd was a full-time freelance photographer for a few years before I picked up a video camera. A bunch of family videos later - along with teaching myself to edit - I wrote, directed, shot and edited my first short film "Hound(ed)" back in 2006. After that I was hooked.
I’m a film-maker, photographer and creative director of Franklyn Lane Films, with over 10 years experience producing and directing videos brand promos, online documentary packages, events and educational projects.
As a freelancer I’m a writer, director, DoP, editor and producer of drama and documentary films .
Too much of a good thing can be truly wonderful!
Dee Rees, Spike Lee, Steve McQueen, Alejåndro Gonzålez Iñarritu, Gabrielle Muccino, Susanne Bier, Colm McCarthy & Barry Jenkins.
I'm a keen reader of scripts as well as non-fiction, I adore coffee, old Land Rovers and camping with my family as often as possible.
I play several musical instruments - at least well enough to play along with wide ranging musical tastes.
Most of all, I'm interested in finding scripts that take my breath away - and enable me to take my directing to new heights.
